How is Somavive different from a plan of care with a medical or rehab provider?

  • Somavive provides ongoing proactive performance services which means that:

    • We don’t diagnose and provide formal medical treatment

    • We are an exercise-based wellness service

    • We provide guided accountability for years/decades

    • We provide individualized education, strategy, and planning to maximize overall performance, rather than treat a particular condition

  • Ongoing proactive performance is designed to supplement the plan of care and treatment provided to you by your medical team (doctor, physical therapist, etc) as many of our members share their self-performance tracking with their medical team to help improve their decision-making.   

Are all of Somavive’s services online?

  • Yes. All of our programs are digital. BFR Guided Training Programs and Human Performance Consultations run through the Somavive App and web-based portal.

How much do Somavive’s services cost?

  • BFR Guided Training Program – $125/month 

  • Human Performance Consultation - $125/hour

Are these services reimbursed by insurance?

  • No. The Somavive services are aimed at building healthy habits, achieving optimal wellness, and bringing out the best of the body from a performance standpoint, as opposed to treating a particular diagnosis or condition, As a result, they are not considered medically necessary services and are not covered by insurance.

Does Somavive serve clients outside of the United States?

  • Yes. We have several existing clients living in different areas of the world.

I feel like I can’t function at a very high level, is Somavive for me?

  • Performance is for everyone regardless of your ability levels, including those who require support from caregivers.  Investing in your performance can help in maintaining/improving your current function.

What if I need to cancel my subscription to the Somavive Community or the BFR Guided Training Program?

  • You are able to cancel your membership at any time.  These programs all go month-to-month allowing you to be involved for as long as you find it to be valuable.  As long as you cancel before your monthly renewal date, it will prevent you from being charged for the next month.

Do I purchase my BFR equipment directly from Somavive?

  • No. We work closely with B Strong and recommend their equipment for our online guided training program. We do offer a discount on B Strong equipment, as you can enter SOMAVIVE for 10% off, but you will purchase directly from www.bstrong.training.

How often can I communicate with my coach as a part of the BFR Guided Training Program?

  • You can message your coach anytime.  We work to respond to all messages within 24 hours.  You will communicate with your coach for 30 minutes on Zoom each month for the first six months of the program and then bi-monthly ongoing.  This blend of face-to-face communication and messaging has shown to provide effective support and accountability for our clients.
